We are located just outside of Oak Ridge, TN, and minutes from Knoxville. With a limit of 50 members, we offer a better ratio of members to planes than most other flying clubs. The Oak Ridge Flyers members buy into our club rather than simply renting planes from a pool. Every member is an owner in each aircraft. This helps to ensure that planes are well maintained, and flown more carefully than you get in flying clubs which work on a rental basis.


The Oak Ridge Flyers traditionally operate four aircraft at our base (TN08) outside of Oak Ridge, TN. The planes are all well maintained and hangered to help keep them in the best condition possible. We currently have a Cessna 150 Aerobat, Cessna 172 Skyhawk and Champ. We are in the market to add a fourth plane. Plans are to add a Cherokee 180 within the next 6 months. With this group of planes, we can accomodate beginners up to experienced pilots. We are proud to be the only club in the area offering a taildragger in our fleet. Our Champ has been completely overhauled and is in excelent condition. This is a better fleet at much lower costs than the Knoxville flying clubs, or Knoxville airplane rentals.
